The house, originally a rural workshop, was remodeled by the owner, architect, favoring the original elements but creating a broad and original space making the most of natural light and landscape, including an outdoor space with plenty of light. With 2 floors in mezzanine, with the kitchen and the living rooms below; and the master bedroom upstairs and na additional private area with 2 single sofa beds. The living room has also a sofabed. The opening of spaces preserves a cool temperature during summer and a main chimney with fireplace heats the house during winter. The bathroom, with tub, is in na intermediate floor. For its location and small number of inhabitants, it is very quiet and a great place for a laid-back vacation. A Typical rural landscape, warmth weather and a relaxed quitness well described the place. The location where the house stands, "Aldeia da Portela" has no more than a group of about 8 houses standing in the middle of the agricultural landscape and its mainly residential. For groceries or any other services you shoudl head to "Aldeia da Piedade", although a bakery van parks daily in the village square (mid morning), to sell fresh hamoemade bread and cakes. In spite the quiteness in less than 5 minutes driving you reach Vila Nogueira de Azeitão and in about 15 minutes reach the beaches, so the location couldn't be better. From he village you reach 2 trekking trails of Arrábida mountain, so its also ideal for trekking lovers. It is quite close to tourist attraction places like Vila Nova de Azeitão (5km), Quinta da Bacalhoa (5km), the beach of Portinho da Arrabida (12km), Convent of Arrabida (12km), Cape Espichel (20km), Sesimbra (10km), Palmela (20km) and the Sado Estuary (20km).
