Rustic villa, "saloia", with total privacy. Altough located in te heart of Azóia Villge, the property is privately surrounded by trees fences saving its gardens and interiors from the outside. Recently the property had some improvements and new refurbishments, mantaining part of the original elements, including the original wooden/kiln oven. The house has two bedrooms with garden and pool view, 2 bathrooms (1 with bath and one with a shower), fully equipped kitchen, small pantry, spacious living room with a good dinning area and spacious living area. The garden, very beautiful, with nooks and flower hedges is one of the best aspects of the house. In addition you may enjoy the private pool. Such spacious grounds and the outdoors make this house ideal for families with children, or groups of friends, although perfectly suitable for couples in a relaxing vacation or working from home. Azóia is a small village at the frindge of Sintra hills in the coastal area of Sintra Natural Park, on the Way to the western cape Continetal Europe: "Cabo da Roca" (1,5km). Very quiet and known for its proximity to the "Cabo da Roca" and the beach "Praia da Ursa". Ideal for treeking (the Trekk to "Peninha" sanctuary takes you about 1 hour over 4 km), or simply to enjoy the nearby beaches: Guincho beach (cascais) or Adraga beach and Praia Grande (Sintra). The Varzea de Colares is only a 5-minute drive away where you should pay a quick visit to its cellar: the Colares wine cellar. At About 14km from Cascais center and 15km from Sinta center, Azóia is ideally located for those who want to visit both Cascais and the castles, palaces and monuments of Sintra (Pena Palace, Moorish castle, Sintra Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, Capuchos Convent, among others). Lisbon is at 40 km distance.

Marisa’s place was lovely. It was clean and comfortable. The village is beautiful and your a short walk away from great local restaurants. The village is in a microclimate and whilst we were there it was often overcast and cloudy but just 3/4 miles away there was sun. The garden is beautiful and well maintained. The cleaner lives two doors away and would pop in to keep on top of things. Great little place

Une maison très agréable très propre et très calme. Ne pas se laisser impressionner par le nuage car le soleil n'est jamais très loin. Accueil très sympathique.

This is a lovely house in a delightful village. While the grocery store is a short drive away, it doesn’t matter because there are four great restaurants in town. We particularly loved Casa do mar sem fin! The house is deceptively large - even though it looks tiny when you pull up - and has lots of great outdoor space. It stays cool and gets great breezes throughout. We were looking for a place in Cascais and ended up here - and, on reflection, couldn’t be happier that things turned out this way! A beautiful, quiet little find near lots of beaches and attractions.

Sintra: Casa da Corredoura 65857/AL

We stayed in mid June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Azoia. The weather was sunny and windy. Marissa responded quickly and helpfully to any requests we made. The house was a beautiful cared for home and garden. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. The kitchen was rather dated but had a comprehensive range of equipment that allowed us to cook extensively. The BBQ proved extremely useful. The bedroom and bathroom were first class and very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for showers. The pool and garden were a delight with lots of beautiful and interesting plants. The property was secured with an electric gate giving it a very private feel. The house is in the heart of a friendly welcoming village. The local cafe and restaurants were easily accessible and a delight to frequent. There is no shop in the village but a short drive to the next village for all shopping needs including a fish market. There is a modest fresh produce market in the village a couple of times each week and a bread van calls each day in the mornings. Local beaches were first class and a 10 minute drive away. Walking in the National Park above the village on well tended tracks was a very pleasant feature of our trip. Maria the local lady who looked after the house, spoke no English but was extremely helpful, always available but not intrusive, she arranged a replacement gas bottle very promptly during our stay. She was hugely kind and caring. We would defiantly consider coming back to this property if we return to Portugal. All communication with Marisa was prompt and really helpful. Many thanks.

Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine en famille en profitant de la piscine et du très grand jardin parfaitement entretenu sans aucun vis-à-vis et sans nuisance. L’intérieure de la maison avec une décoration mélangeant le moderne et l’ancien a du charme. La cuisine et quelques équipements mériteraient d’être rénovés pour être au niveau du reste des autres prestations. Nous sommes arrivées en pleine canicule, et oui c’est possible aussi à Sintra, et Marisa s’est démenée pour nous trouver une solution pour rafraîchir la maison.

We had a good time in Azoia with friendly hosts. The house is nice and charming and is located in a small village close to Sintra. Unfortunately we had a special microclimate during our stay which was responsible for many foggy and humid days. 2 km from over there the weather was fine. The beaches are quiet close to the house and very nice and clean.

Marissa was very helpful and quick in here respondings. We had no contact with the owner and we were welcomned by a lady only speaking portugise. We spend most of the time in the nice garden and the pool was nice. This house was probably fantastic when it was new, now it’s a bit worn down.
