Semi detached house in a rural traditional vilage at 7km-8km from Ericeira beaches of "Ribeira D'Ihas" and "Coxos". At about 9kms from Ericiera and another 9km from Mafra and Mafra convent.
Plenty of light, space, comfortably accommodates 6 persons. It has 2 terraces, one at rear and another at the front with tables and seats. With a living area, dining area and storage area in the ground floor. A double bedroom, a full bathroom and an area with a bunk bed in the upper floor and a double bed, working desk and a private we in the attic floor.

The Rua dos Ilheus resumes a small village inside Picanceira, built in the XVIII century by one of the large farms landlord to lodge their workers. It was then the first rural workers social neighborhood built in Portugal and due to its rare architecture integrates most of the obligatory Portuguese architecture manuals. As most of the farm workers were original from Azores (reason why the street name is ILHEUS, meaning Islanders) the farms owner built in the houses reminding the trace of the islanders original houses in Azores: all of the houses of its complex have a large garden and an external bread oven and are all painted in white. This house was built later with the new series of “saloias” houses built along the XIX century. So Rua dos Ilheus mainly resumes this small village in Picanceira, surrounded by rural landscapes and farm areas. Though the national road N9 runs in front dividing Picanceira from the major farms in front, the village and the house are still quite quiet and secluded.
Not advised for those more restless and in search of a more bustled holiday, although you may also find that bustled life not too far if head up towards Ericeira. Due to its proximity to the Ericeira beaches it is perfect to rest but at the same time a short drive from a dive in the ocean or a stroll in Ericeira by night.
Car advised! The nearest supermarket, fruit store and cafeteria is located in Encarnação at circa 2,500m. You'll find several good restaurants in Mafra, such as the "Adega do Convento" as well as in Ericeira and Ribamar. The Tapada de Mafra is at about 9,5km and the Convento de Mafra at about 9km. Main beaches at about 7/8 Km distance. Most popular surf beaches: “Foz do Lizandro", "Coxos" and Ribeira d’Ilhas”. Quieter beaches: "Praia do Sul”., "Foz do Lizandro". Beaches with nice bars and restaurants: "Praia de São Lourenço". Lisbon at 55km, Sintra at 40km.
